Selim UZUN

He was born in 1980 in Sürmene district of Trabzon. After completing primary school in the village where he was born, he moved to Karamürsel district of Kocaeli with his family. He entered Karamürsel Imam Hatip High School in 1992 and graduated in 1999. In 1999, he was accepted to Istanbul University Health Services Vocational School Oral and Dental Health program, but he left school in a short time. He graduated from Sakarya University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics, which he entered in 2001, as the second in the department in 2005. He completed his master's degree in the Department of Mathematics Education in 2006 and his second bachelor's degree in Anadolu University, Department of Business Administration in 2020. He is currently continuing his undergraduate education at Sakarya University Faculty of Law and his master's degree with thesis at Bursa Technical University, Department of Business Administration.

Selim UZUN started teaching Mathematics in private educational institutions in 2003, and transferred to the public sector in 2008, continuing in Hizan district of Bitlis. Then, from 2010 to 2019, he worked as a Mathematics teacher in different schools and also private educational institutions in Sakarya. Selim UZUN, who worked as the Head of Personnel Department at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences between 2019 and 2023, has been serving as the Secretary General of Bursa Technical University since January 2023.

Selim UZUN, who has been a member and manager of many non-governmental organizations since his high school student and has participated in many studies especially related to young people, is married and the father of two sons.
