Dear Colleagues and Students,

One of the fundamental principles of the developing world is acquiring knowledge and advancing high technology. Universities, tasked with advancing scientific knowledge, also have the responsibility to cultivate competent professionals by transferring knowledge to new generations.

Bursa, once a capital city of the Ottoman Empire and a key hub on the Silk Road, is now a leading force in the Turkish economy with its 18 organized industrial zones and harbors. Bursa Technical University (BTU) was established in 2010 in Bursa, the business and industry center of Turkey. Under its “Innovative State University” slogan, BTU trains qualified graduates through its skilled academic staff and hands-on training programs. With its cutting-edge laboratories and university-industry cooperation projects, BTU has become a strong stakeholder in the business world.

Our education system is founded on the English preparatory class with international EAQUALS accreditation, research-focused laboratories and workshops, and the Vocational Education at the Enterprise Program, which allows senior students to work full-time for at least one semester. Our students continue to receive national and international technology awards for their electric car, unmanned aerial vehicle, and vessel projects. Additionally, our graduates begin their careers at leading technology and industry companies in Bursa and throughout Turkey. As a research university, 25% of BTU students pursue master's and doctoral degrees in basic and interdisciplinary research fields.

Our faculty members conduct projects through various application and research centers, including Bursateknopark and the Technology Transfer Office. These projects exemplify strong cooperation between the university and industry. Bursa Technical University has distinguished itself in university-industry cooperation, achieving first place in Turkey with 23 projects accepted into the TUBITAK 2244 Industry Doctorate Program. Our Central Research Laboratory, which houses rare devices unique to the Marmara Region, provides testing and analysis services to leading companies in Turkey, especially industrial establishments in Bursa and our region, utilizing high-tech equipment.

Dear students, at our university, you can become global citizens and engineers who solve problems, think analytically, are self-confident and entrepreneurial, gain hands-on experience through practice and internships, and become highly sought-after graduates in the sector.
