HEALTH SERVICES

Our university offers infirmary services on both the Mimar Sinan and Yıldırım Bayezid Campuses. These infirmaries are staffed by a part-time workplace doctor and a nurse. Following the guidelines and responsibilities outlined in primary health care institutions and the Nursing Law, our infirmaries provide emergency medical treatment, first aid, prescribed treatments, medical dressings, injections, and measurements for blood type, blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose for university staff and students. Nursing interventions are planned and executed to meet health-related needs, and health counseling is available for personnel and students.

 

UNIVERSITY HEALTHCARE SERVICE UNIT

Regardless of insurance status, medical treatment is available at our university infirmary for the following individuals:

• Individuals over 25 years old who do not have any social security can access hospital services by paying a premium to the Social Security Institution (SGK) based on their income. This requires undergoing an income test through the Social Solidarity and Solidarity Foundation.

• University students under 25 years old whose parents do not have health insurance can benefit from health insurance without paying a premium by submitting a student certificate to SGK.

• University students who are under 25 years old and unmarried can continue to benefit from their parents' health insurance. They need to present their student documents to the social security provincial directorate annually.

If you have SGK debts during the period from high school until you register for university, you can have your debts removed from the general health insurance by making a statement to SGK with your student certificate.

All family health clinics are free of charge. Patients only pay a small amount of contribution fee for prescriptions.

After Social Security Institution (SGK) healthcare insurance is obtained, services can be received with health insurance at all state hospitals and university hospitals.

Registeration of Foreign Students to the General Health Insurance Policies

Foreign students studying in our country are covered under universal health insurance upon their request within three months following the date they have registered the school without requiring one year period residence. Those who do not apply in this period cannot benefit from general health insurance.

Dr. M.Serhat YAMALI provides healthcare service on Tuesdays at Yıldırım Bayezid Campus and on Thursdays at Mimar Sinan Campus between 12:00 and 13:00.
