Rector of Bursa Technical University Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar held a series of important meetings in China in line with the university’s internationalization objectives. Discussions with leading higher education institutions focused on joint projects, academic mobility, and doctoral-level collaborations.


As part of its internationalization vision, Bursa Technical University continues to strengthen its global academic partnerships. Within this scope, Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar conducted a number of official visits in China. During the programme, Rector Çağlar met with representatives of some of the world’s leading higher education institutions.


Discussions with the administration of China University of Mining and Technology addressed several strategic areas, including the development of joint research projects, the expansion of academic and student exchange programmes, the establishment of co-supervision opportunities for doctoral theses, and the mutual use of research infrastructures.


Joint Projects and Academic Mobility on the Agenda

As part of the China visit programme, Rector Çağlar also visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University Global College, where further discussions were held to advance international academic cooperation. Strategic topics discussed during the meetings included the development of joint projects, the enhancement of academic mobility, the expansion of co-supervision models in doctoral studies, and the effective sharing of research infrastructures.

Rector Çağlar was accompanied during the visits by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Sinan Uyanık and Prof. Dr. Barış Tamer Tonguç.


Aiming for Global Recognition

Commenting on the productive meetings, Rector of Bursa Technical University Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar stated:

“As Bursa Technical University, we are determined to strengthen our international collaborations in line with our vision of becoming a university recognized worldwide. By bringing together our strong infrastructure in engineering and technical sciences with leading universities across the globe, we have established a shared vision for taking concrete steps that will contribute both to our country and to the global scientific community.”


Emphasizing their belief that academic relations between Türkiye and China will continue to grow stronger, Rector Çağlar added:

“We hope that these engagements will lead to lasting and impactful projects.”
