Prof. Dr. Arif KARADEMİR received his BA degree from Istanbul University, Faculty of Forestry, and Department of Forestry Industrial Engineering in 1992. He received his MA and PhD degrees in the field of Paper Technology from the UK-University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 1996 and 2001.
After working as an engineer in the paper packaging industry for 1 year, he entered academic life as a research assistant at Kahramanmaraş Sütçüimam University (KSU) Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forestry Industrial Engineering in 1993. He completed his foreign language, master's and doctoral studies at UMIST in Manchester, England. Returning to KSU in 2001, KARADEMİR received the title of assistant professor in 2002 and associate professor in 2007. Karademir, who started to work at Bursa Technical University in 2012, received the title of professor in 2013.
Prof. Dr. Arif Karademir did scientific studies at UMIST in England, Manchester with the support of Tübitak (Nato-B2) for 3 months in 2004, and at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, Canada in the summer of 2006 at Dr McKenzie Limeric Pulp and Paper Center with the support of UNB for three months.
Paper fabrication, paper chemicals, coating, waste paper recycling systems, ink removal, biological pulp production, resin extraction and processing are among his fields of expertise and interest.
Prof. Dr. Beyhan Bayhan holds a PhD from Middle East Technical University, a Master's degree from Istanbul Technical University, and a Bachelor's degree from Gazi University. Bayhan worked as a researcher at the University of California Berkeley Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center and Taiwan National Earthquake Research Center between 2008 and 2009.
Bayhan received the title of assistant professor in 2012, associate professor in 2014 and professor in 2020 at Bursa Technical University. Bayhan is a founding faculty member at Bursa Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering and Earthquake Engineering Application and Research Center (DEPAR). At Bursa Technical University, where he started to work in 2012, he served as Deputy Director of the Institute of Science, Department of Civil Engineering, Director of BTU-DEPAR, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Member of the BAP Commission, Member of the Quality Commission and Community Consultant.
Areas of interest and work; structural and earthquake engineering, risky structure detection, evaluation of earthquake performance of structures, repair and strengthening of structures and seismic insulation of buildings.
Prof. Dr. Ayşe Bedeloğlu graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Textile Engineering, in 2003. After working in the private sector (Hugo Boss, İzmir) for a short time, she became a Research Assistant at Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Textile Engineering in the same year. She completed her master's degree in 2005 and her doctorate in 2009. Within the scope of her doctoral thesis on the development of photovoltaic fiber, she carried out studies at the University of Gent (Belgium) Department of Textile Engineering and at the Organic Solar Cells Institute of Johannes Keppler University (Austria) Linz.
Prof. Dr. Ayşe Bedeloğlu received the title of assistant professor in 2013, associate professor in 2015 and professor in 2020 at Bursa Technical University. She has been a faculty member at Bursa Technical University Polymer Materials Engineering Department since 2013. Until today, she has been a Member of the Education-Training Commission, BAP Committee Membership, Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Board Membership, Faculty Board Membership, University-Industry Cooperation Development Application and Research Center Deputy Director, Polymer Materials Engineering Department Head and the dean of the Communication Faculty.
In addition to her expertise in different applications of polymers, especially in conventional and technical textiles, the followings are among her working areas; fiber reinforced composites, nanocomposites, renewable energy production and storage technologies, photovoltaic solar cells, piezoelectric and triboelectric nanogenerators, synthesis of nanomaterials such as graphene, mxene and nanowire, and applications in smart materials.
Prof. Dr. Sami İMAMOĞLU received his undergraduate degree from Istanbul University, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forestry Industrial Engineering in 1992. He received his Master's degree in Fiber and Paper Engineering from University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in England in 1996. He received his Ph.D. degree from Istanbul University, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Forestry Industrial Engineering in 2002. Having received the title of Assistant Professor in 2005, Associate Professor in 2007 and Professor in 2013, Prof. Dr. Sami İMAMOĞLU worked at Kafkas University, Artvin Çoruh University and Istanbul University, respectively. Since 2014, he has been continuing his academic studies at Bursa Technical University.
Prof. Dr. Sami İMAMOĞLU served as Assistant Dean, Department Head, Central Research Laboratory Coordinator, AÖF Assistant Coordinator, Engineering Faculty Dean, Vice Rector, Central Research Laboratory Manager and General Secretary. He also served as a Member of the Advisory Board and Executive Board of TUBITAK Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Research Support Group (TOVAG).
His areas of interest and work are as follows; paper technology, waste paper recycling systems, increasing the paper resistance properties, ink removal and biological pulp production.
Murat BAYRAK was born in Bursa in 1980. He is married and has two children. He received his undergraduate degree from Bursa Uludağ University, Faculty of Education, English Language Teaching Department in 2002. He completed his Master's degree in English Language Teaching at the same university. He completed his doctorate in Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Graduate Education Institute, Translation and Interpretation Department, Translation and Cultural Studies Department between 2014 and 2021.
He started to work at Bursa Çınar High School as an English Teacher in the same year, right after his undergraduate degree, and worked in this institution for 3.5 years. Between 2006 and 2007, he worked as a translator-interpreter at the Land Forces Command, Central Department, Translation and Library Branch Directorate. Murat BAYRAK worked as a lecturer at Bursa Uludag University School of Foreign Languages between 2006 and 2011. Then, he transferred to Bursa Technical University School of Foreign Languages, where he is still working, as a lecturer and gave lectures and assumed administrative duties both in the academic unit where he was assigned and in various units of the university. In addition to being the Director of the School of Foreign Languages between 2013 and 2021, he also served as the Director of the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center between 2019 and 2021.
As a faculty member at Bursa Technical University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of English Translation and Interpretation, English Translation and Interpreting Department, Murat BAYRAK is still continuing his academic studies on subjects like humour translation, novel translation, cultural studies, and foreign language teaching.
